Robots enable the workforce to automate everyday tasks, improve ergonomics, and improve overall employee satisfaction. Expectations should be that work life improves because the cobots next to the workers are taking care of tasks that they delegate to them. Consumers should expect quality and customer service to go up since they can now actually talk to a human when they need one. Marty, the collaborative robot, joined the TEDx guests as an example of how these robots will bring improvements to everyday life.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
