2023 Annual Conference - Chang Industrial moves into 2024 with momentum, vision, and collaboration

In December of each year Chang Industrial hosts our team members for a workshop style conference and celebration. This is one of the only times of year when our remote company all comes together in-person. This year we ventured out to beautiful Amelia Island for delicious meals, thought leader presentations, happy hours, and a biking tour through Fort Clinch State Park. We are extremely thankful for our partners and team members who made 2023 so meaningful and we are looking forward to all the things to come in 2024! Thought leadership presentations, event details, and pictures included below.

Thought Leader Presentations

🏙 Laura Edgecombe kicked us off sharing about the history and growth of the city of Jacksonville. She then tied this in to 4 important points: unity, vision, community, and collaboration.

🔐Joe Tenga brought the heat next sharing about the importance of cybersecurity. He emphasized the need for confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

💥 Next, we heard from Dr. Nahshon Nicks who inspired us to be catalysts for change. In order to make an impact, we have to know what we bring to the table. We connect and collaborate best with others when we are secure in who we are. In everything, thanks to God, we are conquerors - where there is a will, there is a way!!

Ross Barnard

⚙️ Ross Barnard shared the vision, history, and strategy behind the engineering we do at Chang Industrial. He also shared about his experience working in Singapore and how that shaped both himself and his view of engineering.

🧩 We then got to do a deep dive into our work personalities with Toni Higgs and Emily Roth. Each of us took the predictive index behavioral assessment to understand how our concept of self and our work place behavior differs from the concept of our natural self.

Fun

This year we stayed at the SpringHill Suites just one block from the beautiful beaches and less than 2 miles from the heart of downtown Amelia Island. We played mini golf at our happy hour hosted at Gregor McGregor's Mini Links & Drinks. We enjoyed dinners at Sandbar and The Patio at 5th & Ash. We concluded our weekend with a self-guided biking tour through beautiful nature trails near the coast and an exploration through Fort Clinch State Park.
